Weekly Review and Preview

Dear Parents,

Thank you to those of you who attended our Learning Journal conference on Wednesday. For those of you unable to attend who still have your child's book could you please return this on Monday.

A few dates have started to be added to our calendar.

Friday 22nd June we will have our class school trip to the Science Museum at Ekkami. A letter about this trip can be found in the contact book today.

On Tuesday 26th June 2-4pm we will be holding our Early Year Charity Art Auction. A letter about this was sent home at the start of the week in contact book.

Ascot International School		KS Weekly Update: Week 7 2018 Summer Term
	This week		Next week
English	We looked at the sound the letters ai makes when put together. We looked at words that contain the ai sound such as rain, snail, mail and train.		We will be looking at the sound the letters ee makes.
Maths	We have been looking at the words heavy and light. We looked at balancing scales and picked up objects trying to decide if they are heavy or light.		We will be looking at numbers to 20.
Inquiry	We made some predictions – guessed whether a variety of solids would melt in the sun. We also explored dissolving to disappear in a liquid and the words rough and smooth.		We will be looking at how we can use materials through a story book and the idea of buildings.
Notices and events WB: 4th June	Friday 22nd June School Trip to the Science Museum at Ekkami. Letter should be in the contact book. Tuesday 26th June Art Auction 2-4pm
