Week 4 in pictures

Tuesday 22nd May

Dear Parents.

Please see below and the links to some of the fun things that we got up to last week.

As part of our science unit on Material, we were lucky enough to be invited up to the secondary science lab for a look around and demonstration by Mr Richard Cairns. We had lots of fun and enjoyed being scientists for the afternoon.

As part of our science topic this week, we have been learning about transparent and opaque.  Transparent is where you can see through and Opaque you can't see through. As well as exploring these words we looked at materials that are flexible and rigid (hard, not bendy).

In our phonics lesson this week we have been learning the th sound. The thumb print and thump. Along with Thursday, think, thin and three. We also looked at matching tricky words together.

In our Maths lesson we have been learning about the word tall and short. We compared lego towers as well as photos of our friends to find out who is tall. We also tried to build the tallest tower!

As always there is always sometime to learn through play!
