End of Week 4 and looking forward

Friday 22^nd September

Good afternoon Parents,

We have had a lovely morning celebrating House Colour Day. All the children in Early Years were put into their house team. With their team they had the opportunity to complete fun craft activities. After break there were some fun team games outside where they had the chance to earn team points for their house.  Lots of fun was had by all. Look out for the pictures in the coming week. 

Besides our fun Friday this week we have learning about the sound the letter Tt makes and the number 4. We have also been learning about similarities such as we all have arms, legs, a head, body and differences such as girl and boy, our finger prints and one they all really enjoyed talking about and investigating our skin tone.

Next week we will be learning about the sound the letter Ii makes and the number 5. We will be reviewing the similarities and differences again but also looking at how we can use our body in different ways. For example with our legs we can walk, run, hop etc. 

The week of the 2^nd October the school will be celebrating book week. In KS we will be looking at the story of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. We will be doing some fun activities based on this book in class during the week. On the Friday the children will have an opportunity to dress up as something linked to the book. We will also have a class party on the Friday afternoon.  I hope to share more details about this next week.
