Weekly Review and Preview

Dear Parents
It was lovely to see so many of you at our KS open morning on Tuesday. For those of you who were unable to make it I hope that you have had a chance to share your child's learning journal with them. For those of you who still have them could you please return them to school on Monday, thank you. 

On Thursday 29th March we have invited some of the emergency services in for our school trip this term. I would like to keep this as a surprise for the children but we are hoping that an ambulance, police and fire engine will be here.  They are unable to confirm their visit until approximately 2 days before but we are hoping that they will be here at school around 9 am. You are all most welcome to join us as the children learn about these vehicles. I will email you as soon as I have some information confirmed about this. 

On Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday 4th April we will be having our Parent/ Teachers conference.

On Thursday 5th April in the morning we will be having our Songkran celebration that you will are invited to join. A letter about this was sent out earlier this week and should be in the contact book.

Ascot International School		KS Weekly Update: Week 10 2018 Spring Term
	This week		Next week
English	We looked at the letter Xx. We looked at the sound it makes and how words that have the x at the end let their friends go first such as: fox, box, win.		We will be looking at the letter Yy and its sound.
Maths	We have been looking at words such as small, longer and bigger. We tried to sort items by their size.		We will be looking at bar graphs.
Inquiry	We have been looking at airplanes and 2 brothers were the first to fly. We also spoke about how the wings are similar of a plane are similar to birds.		We will be moving along the transport timeline and looking at rockets and space.
Notices and events WB: 26th March	Thursday 29th March: TBC KS visit at school by emergency vehicles. I will email you about this early next week. 3rd and 4th April: Parent/Teachers Conferences 5th April: 8.10-9.35 Songkran Festival Celebration. A letter has been sent out about this.
