School Trip

Dear Parents,

We had lots of fun today with the visit of our local fire engine, police car and ambulance.

The fire station set up an awesome activity for us. We got to practice what to do if there was a  real fire. They bought a smoke machine and set us up an obstacle course of items we had to get through whilst the machine was blowing smoke. We had a chance to sit in the fire truck before they unreeled the water hose and they let us have a go!

The next vehicle we got to look at was the police car. They put on the siren for us as well as let us sit in their car. They showed us their handcuffs and police radio.

The last vehicle was the ambulance. They showed us the equipment they have in the vehicle and told us what would happen if we were unwell. They showed us their light and siren. We were however really lucky we were told to sit down and they closed the door. They drove us round the block with the lights and siren going. It was so much fun!

Thank you to the fire station, police station and local hospital for allowing your vehicles to come and visit us.
